This website is run by Essex Home Contracts Ltd (trading as Essex Home Garden Rooms), registered in England and Wales, company number 15415412. Our address is Unit 12, Hanningfield Business Park, Chelmsford, Essex CM3 8AA. We are the controller of the personal information you give us through this website. What we collect

Enquiry forms: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, what the room is for, and anything you choose to tell us, including photos or plans you upload.
WhatsApp, phone and email: the messages, photos and details you send us.
Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare a design and quotation, and, if you go ahead, to carry out and look after your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with companies that help us run the website and our business, such as our website host and email provider, and within the Essex Home group where another team (for example electrical or air conditioning) is part of your project. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep project records for as long as we need them for the work, the guarantee and our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to its use. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
