Bars & entertainment rooms

A bar, a media wall, proper lighting and sound — a room for evenings and weekends that feels like a venue, not a shed with a fridge in it.

What an entertainment room has to get right

03

Lighting and sound

04

Comfortable late

Planning

Will I need planning permission?

It depends on the size, position, height and intended use of the building, and on your property. Many garden rooms can be built under permitted development, but not all — and we won’t tell you otherwise before we’ve looked. Where planning or Building Regulations apply, we identify it during the design stage.
